b

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

My answer is run-on because those are two independent clauses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think ur right

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

comma fault would occur if one was dependent and the other was independent I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sounds right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If one were dependent and the other independent, you'd have a complex sentence.

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

yes, but if the comma was missing you would have a comma fault, no?

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

Or is a comma fault the same as a comma splice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, though you would have a missing comma. The only difference between a run-on and a comma fault is that in the first there is nothing conjoining the two sentences and in the second there is a comma (where something stronger should be) joining the two sentences.

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

On any case it is a run=on by process of elimination anyway.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bingo. Comma splice and comma fault are the same thing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Run-on
