OpenStudy (moongazer):

How do you graph this line? using intercepts I'l just check my answer

OpenStudy (moongazer):

x-12=-2x

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

this is a vertical line ... clue ;)

OpenStudy (moongazer):

|dw:1326287055060:dw|

OpenStudy (moongazer):

is that correct?

OpenStudy (moongazer):

if yes, why is that it is a vertical line?

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

it's a vertical line because there's only one x value.

OpenStudy (moongazer):

why is that it is a vertical line? not horizontal line

OpenStudy (moongazer):

isn't it there is no Y ?

OpenStudy (moongazer):

so should it be horizontal?

OpenStudy (moongazer):

brb

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

it's a vertical line if the equation is x=constant and it's a horizontal line if the equation is y=constant.

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

for any y value at all the, the value of x will remain the same.

OpenStudy (moongazer):

ohh I get it, It cannot be horizontal line because if it is horizontal line the value of x will change. Thanks for your explanation! My classmate told me that the vertical line is wrong and horizontal line is right and because of that I erased my original answer making it wrong. I learned a lesson today. :)
