WHY AM I DOING SUCH STUPID MISTAKES TODAY

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

today is not my math day, i literally forgot how to use Sohcahtoa.

Did you remember? \[\Large \begin{array}{l} \sin \theta = \frac{o}{h}\\ \cos \theta = \frac{a}{h}\\ \tan \theta = \frac{o}{a} \end{array}\]So in this question, we have the hypotenuse, and x is either opposite 68 or adjacent to 22; so we can use sine or cosine to find the unknown. \[\Large \begin{array}{l} \sin \theta = \frac{o}{h}\\ \sin 68 = \frac{x}{{6.6}}\\ x = \sin 68 \cdot 6.6 = 6.12\\ \cos \theta = \frac{a}{h}\\ \cos 22 = \frac{x}{{6.6}}\\ x = \cos 22 \cdot 6.6 = 6.12 \end{array}\] Since it's a right triangle (we know this since 180 - 68 - 22 = 90), we can work out the other unknown using Pythagoras' theorem, or just using the same rules as above.
