RATINONLIZE THE DENOMINTOR

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if we simplify the bottom we get \[\sqrt{7}-2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you already combine like terms in the denominator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we have to multiply by its conjugate \[\sqrt{7}+2\] to get rid of the radical on the bottom, to make the equation stay equal we multiply by the conjugate/conjugate which equals 1, anything times 1 is itsself so it doesnt change the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the top (5) times the conjugate is \[5\sqrt{7} + 10\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the bottom it is \[3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we have |dw:1327711885632:dw|
