For a thermochemical equation, is the energy suppose to be in kJ or kJ per mol? If i have the molar heat of combustion, do i need to convert anything before putting it to the thermochemical equation?

OpenStudy (xishem):

It should be in kJ or J, or some other energy unit as long as the units agree. kJ/mol is not a measure of energy, but of molar energy.
