-2x>18-14 -2x>4 (divide by -2, when dividing by negative number > becomes <) x<-2

You want to isolate x \[14-2x-14 > 18-14\] -2x>4 Now you divide by a -2, notice the sign change of the inequality: \[x<-2\]
