Ok so 1. How do trackers find your P2P and IP history. 2.Can any ISP see what I am viewing, such as even right now. 3. Just a stupid question, can ISP providers take control of your computer and put it on lockdown or just you internet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Umm well its from the Data Centers to be exact. ISP can and the Police. Police Has the legal rights to. Depending on your ISP Company and the many clients they normally dont care. Umm Not So i think not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nice Question BTW

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait but is it possible for them to be viewing it right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because this scares me very much, because I know someone is watching me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depending on your Company Police can but not likley

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Companys that have like millions of clients would take years to find 24/7 data (Time warner cable doesnt)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if hypothetically i was to download a song will they fine me and catch me, hypothetically

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what time warner doesnt few

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks u made me feel better

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depending on your Company lol. Time Warner Cable Services doesnt care

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And if you clear your cookies out and all that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have Time Warner

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Umm if its a 1800 harrassment tell them if you call this n umber again i will report to the FCC for fraudelent information

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhhhh no its a 647 number, scared me a ton

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The fcc Manages All FCC 1800 Numbers i recommend adding your number to the Do not Call List. The police dont care if you steal music. If you live in NC nope :P And i was worried as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha, at least im not alone i dont think NY does either

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh there HQ is there :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what hq the phone # 1800

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for time warner i have no clue lol i call my local police office lol i am a Worker for the FCC and Datacenters around me lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey thanks a lot man i wish you the best i have to go, hope im not rude, add me on open study

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem

Trackers set up fake P2P clients. When you connect to them and request something, they make a record of your IP address and what you're requesting. Most ISPs will send you an email reminding you that using P2P to share copyrighted material is illegal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are doing something illegal then you must weigh up the benefits versus the potential outcome. One of the earliest copyright infringment cases was against a woman who downloaded very little but was bankrupted in the following process. The fines for one pirated movie can be many hundreds of thousands of dollars. How much does a movie really cost to buy? Peanuts in todays almost worthless fiat dollars. I don't want to make you more paranoid but you can be tracked doing almost anything, lost your phone? - find it with an app, computer need an update? - Bill Gates knows, posted and later deleted some incriminating photos on Facebook? - your (future)employer may find them for an employment review. If Anonymous can get into the FBI's computer system, do you think the FBI can't find you? Sorry, buy the $0.99 song.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cryptic i see what you are saying, but I really can bet you are being a bit hypocritical, and also anonops has nothing to do with this. If the FBI raided your computer, would you feel "safe"
