hello. i need help wrapping my mind around lower case delta in calc (limits and such) i just dont know what the numerical value of it mean or which on to use because there are 2 deltas right?
\[\delta \]
The d with a squiggle, as in your last post, just means 'a little bit of...', whilst d (no squiggle) means 'an infinitely small bit of...' (or 'as d(squiggle)... approaches 0' (ie- gets infinitely small))
well i know that \[\epsilon\] is how accurate you want to be but im not sure what the delta signifies
So if you travelled 20m in 5 seconds: \[\delta(metres)/\delta(seconds)= 20/5\] Delta basically means 'change in' (in this case, distance and time)
|dw:1328477080426:dw| zooming in to infinitely small on the triangle: |dw:1328477155733:dw|
