Instead of using the quotient rule, you can consider 7/x as $$7*(1/x) = 7x^{-1}$$So that now all you have to do is see that $$f'(x)=-7x^{-2}$$and all a negative sign means is that the number is in the denominator, so flip it back over again if you please to look like:$$f'(x)=-7/x^2$$
