Linear Algebra: Determine if this set is a vector space. Either show that the necessary properties are satisfied, or give an example showing that at least one of them is not. -The set P of all polynomials, with the usual definition of scalar multiplication, but with addition defined as polynomial multiplication (so f + g (warped addition) is equal to the product of f and g).
Sorry Satellite73, I didn't get part of what your answer was earlier.
In the second part of the answer, satellite said a(f+g) does not equal af + ag (all warped additon symbols).
lol it does i think it is a vectorspace but i may be misunderstanding the question
basically, the second rule is going to be f(+)g = f*g
umm whoops I dont know i totally dont get the question hehe
eeeyeah. I completely understand because that's how I am right now.
I just reposted it because I didn't understand what a user on here was trying to explain.
Jamesj is really good get him to explain to u
I am stuck on my own linear algebra questions. oh its so annoying
can you link me to his profile?
he is off now :(
I am so lost. I don't get any of this stuff :-(
hehe me too :)
