x/y + 2/z^3 ?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

whats the question? are we combining fractions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's basic i know, but it's been a while since pre-calc

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

get common denominator of yz^3 \[\rightarrow \frac{xz^{3}}{yz^{3}} +\frac{2y}{yz^{3}} = \frac{xz^{3}+2y}{yz^{3}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you just multiply both sides by z^3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Was the question only that much? If it was then its basic LCM type!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah i feel really stupid but i can't remember how to get the least common denominator. haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not stupid, just a little bit silly!!:D
