Is there an easy way to memorize the unit circle in trigonometry?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i dunno depends how well you remember things..:) but you can associate the unit circle with special right triangles that might help 45-45-90 has ratios 1:1:sqrt2, divide by sqrt 2 and you get sin: cos:1 --> sqrt2/2 : sqrt2/2: 1 30-60-90 has ratios 1:sqrt3:2, divide by 2 and you get sin:cos:1 --> 1/2: sqrt3/2 : 1

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

yep.... y = sin (A) and y is +ve in 1st and 2nd quadrants.... -ve in 3rd and 4th... graph is the same. x = cos (A) x is positive in 1st and 4th quadrants... tan is sin/cos.... positive in 1st when both sin and cos are +ve and 3rd when 2 negatives make a +ve...
