2x/x^2-36 + x+4/x+6

Directrix (directrix):

2x/(x^2-36) + (x+4)/(x+6) = 2x / (x + 6)(x -6) + (x+4)/(x+6) =

Directrix (directrix):

2x /[ (x + 6)(x -6)] + [ (x-6) (x+4)] /[ (x-6)(x+6)] =

Directrix (directrix):

The denominators are the same now. Add numerators. The second fraction was multiplied by (x-6)(x-6) which = 1.

Directrix (directrix):

Numerator: 2x + [ (x-6) (x+4)] = x^2 - 24

Directrix (directrix):

Denominator: [ (x-6)(x+6)]

Directrix (directrix):

Sum of two rational fractions is: [x^2 - 24] / [ (x-6)(x+6)]

Directrix (directrix):

[x^2 - 24] / [ x^2 - 36 ] ----> Please check answer.
