Simple capacitor question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not quite sure whether they are saying the capacitor is in a complete circuit or just a wire->capacitor->wire (both leading to nothing)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

guess it would have to be in a circuit k so you would have 1. -Q charge on the other end 2. reason for sign - because the positive charge on the left would attract negative on the right 3. size - because

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no wait so it would be a stand alone capacitor. you leave the charge, then it would work like electrostatics. the right hand side's electrons will attract to the left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will try to pair up with equal amounts of charge. right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the charges originate in the wire and on the right hand plate of the capacitor, right?
