Given the sequence {a sub n) from n=1 to infinity is {-3, 2, -4/3, 8/9, -16/27,....} find a sub n, the nth term of the seq. and use it to find the 15th term.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be easy if it didn't have that first term, -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe -3 is simplified and it can be written as smthng else

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat did u get without the -3 for an a sub n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{2, -4/3, 8/9, -16/27} would be ((-1)^(n-1)*2^n)/3^n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok while i think about this can u help me with a poroblem on monotonicity... i will repost this question later 2 see if others can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):
