I am a bit paranoid here lol- write a differential equation for statement : the rate of change of y with respect t x is proportional to the square of the sum of x and 6. ok so i put dy/dx = (x+6)^2 but I feel like I am missing something perhaps that dreaded "k" somewhere.

sounds right, but technically a differential equation is an equation that contains a derivative like dy/dx = x + dy/du or something

proportional means is equal to a constant multiple of if k is the constant \[dy/dx = k(x+6)^2\]

Oh ok, well that makes more sense, I was close to putting (x+6)^2 over k. o.O

that would make the expressions inversely proportional
