OpenStudy (anonymous):

what happens when germs clog up in the human body? is that even possible?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Closest i can think of would be constipation.

OpenStudy (blues):

Haha, constipation. A professor asks on a biology midterm, "What is peristalsis?" And the student answers, "Beats the [fill in your own word here] out of me." On a serious note, it depends on what you mean by the question. "Germs" is a biologically indistinct term: it can mean any infectious agent, which includes bacteria, viruses and even bigger parasites. While they can't exactly clog up the entire body - except when they literally impair bowel function as noted by eraxus - they can impair the functioning of the cells, tissues and organs affected by a specific invading organism to the point where the person gets sick or even dies.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahaha, That's a classic! mind if i steal it?

OpenStudy (blues):

I stole it too. It was a real answer someone put when I was a TA grading midterms.
