6x+7=-5
6x + 7 = -5 Subtract 7. 6x = -12 Divide by 6. x = -2
Please explain little better,
take seven from both sides then divide by six
Y subtract and divide?
when you have an equation (and expression with an equal sign ) you can add a constant, or multiply by a constant
The equals sign is the middle of a see saw. Everything you do to one side must be done to the other side in order to keep things balanced. If you do something to one side, you must do it to the other. The goal of those kinds of problems is typically to solve for the variable, in this case x. To do that, you "undo" everything that was done to x. What do I mean? Remember PEMDAS. It tells you what order to do things in. When solving equations, you need to worry about the REVERSE. SADMEP. First, you look for any subtraction or addition. Then you reverse it by adding or subtracting. Then you do division or multiplication, exponents, parentheses, etc... Once you isolate the variable (get it all by itself), then you will have solved the equation.
subtract is just the same as adding a negative number, and division is like multiplying by 1/something
@bluepig148 you make me superfluous
Oh don't say that, lol.
ok then , we are complementary.
