"The more intense the beam, the more tightly packed the photons. Even so, each photon in the more intense beam has exactly the same amount of energy as those in the less intense beam." What does tis really mean?? Its making me more confuse.. =.="

it is saying each photon has a certain amount of energy, call it E. If we want the beam to have more energy, then it has more photons in it per cubic mm, or whatever unit of volume you want to use.

See, In quantum physics energy is " Quantized ", i.e the least amount of energy we can have is that of a photon. Intensity is dependent on the no. of photons and how tightly those photons are packed.

Let us consider Intensity to be proportional to energy transfered by the beam to the particle it falls on. Energy @ Intensity I(w) * area And, Intensity is inversly proportional to area as well, So, Energy transferred only depends on no. of photons.
