"the set of numbers to which a function does not apply is called domain" is it true? I found this definition in Spivak's book. Whereas what I learned and according to wikipedia a domain is a set of numbers that can be used in a function in order to get some output so by that definition the set of numbers to which function applies is called domain. isn't?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is as false as it gets: we usually do not care about the set of numbers for which a function is not defined.

ahhh my apology I misread it says does apply

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In that case, then it is true.
