I just need help to figure out if I got an answer correct. The problem is f(x)=-x^2+6x+27. The x coordinates of the intercepts (I got) x=-3,0. The y intercepts (I got) 0,0. Which means there is no intercept for y.

I am taking an online quiz and can't go back and change my answers so any help would be great!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Hang on a minute.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I got 9 and -3 for x intercepts and 27 for the y intercept.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Let me graph it and see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So where did I go wrong? hmmmm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (mertsj):

To find the x intercepts, replace y with 0 and use the quadratic formula. 9 and -3 and the correct x intercepts.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

To find the y intercept replace x with 0. You will bet 27 for the y intercept.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

get not bet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the quadratic formula is -b+/-sqrt(b^2-4*a*c/2a?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes
