A circle is shown on the coordinate plane below. What is the equation of this circle? x2 + (y + 1)2 = 4 x2 + (y – 1)2 = 2 x2 + (y + 1)2 = 2 x2 + (y – 1)2 = 4

Try checking your book for the standard equation. I think it is like \[x^2+y^2=r^2\] then the (y-1) is a shift up. There should be rules like that in your book. But, you can also plug in the points (3,0) and (-1,0) which fits the last equation you have listed. That is my thought... \[x^2 + (y – 1)^2 = 4\] where the radius is r=2. ... I think...
