A. Give an example of one number that meets all the criteria of a real, rational, integer but is NOT a natural number.

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

any negative of a natural number.... -2, -3 , -7. -101.... these are all integers, hence automatically qualify as real and rational but the fact that they are negative makes NOT natural. '0' too?? what do you think?? try and answer.

OpenStudy (eyust707):

so inorder to answer this you have to understand what these mean: real rational interger

OpenStudy (eyust707):

a real number is any number that can fit onto the number line. basically all the number that you know of up to this point in math

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I like how everyone tries to explain things now when I first came to this site this would have just gotten answered without basis thanks for elevating this site to its potential guys :D

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Sorry for interrupting, continue, please...

OpenStudy (eyust707):

a rational number is any number that can become a fraction ( 1.5 = 3/2) thats rational. something that isnt rational would be pi.

OpenStudy (eyust707):

intergers are whole numbers. they arent fractions at all. -2 -1 0 1 2 3 ....
