I need to learn java within a very short period. Can anyone plsss suggest me any sites where I can learn t?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This http://thenewboston.org/list.php?cat=31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That plus any book that says, learn java in a month or so...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But, care to elaborate 'very short period' of time.

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

I got a buk named Sams teach urself java in 24 hours. Is that a gud buk?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

@arcticf0x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A good book is the one you're confortable with, so read it on and see if it works for you.

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Thanx a lot

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

@arcticf0x Very good answer re: The New Boston. I love Bucky's videos. He's good. @ajprincess Sams is a pretty good book for learning Java, but if you are a total beginner to programming in general, Head First Java is a better book IMO. You can get it pretty cheap from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Java-Kathy-Sierra/dp/0596009208

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

I'v finishd learning C++ nd nw want to learn Java.

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Thanx a lot for the suggestion @jagatuba.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jagatuba Yeah he is good, but i'm afraid his approach isnt very complete to that of a book or a uni course, i mostly reffer his c++ tutorials of topics i have problem with. Its stange i didnt get any notifications for this post -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I once had this awesome Java tutorial website filled with rapid-feedback Java exercises :( I'll find it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they complement bucky's videos and http://codingbat.org well

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

@arcticfOx Yeah I don't know why your name is not coming up in the list when I start to type it, but for whatever reason it's not so I just typed it in manually. But I do agree with you. Bucky's vids are great for practicing step-by-step exercises and programs or troubleshooting or getting ideas about how to do something specific, but a book is definitely better for learning. Still, I found his videos an invaluable resource when I was taking Java.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jagatuba Mentions seem to be broken with me too, though i can find your name in the list but am not able to click it. @agdgdgdgwngo Thanks for sharing, will check it out soon! Bookmarked -_-.

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

@ Your mention list might not be working, but I did get the notification.
