The C02 from the air enters the calvin cycle incorporated into organic compounds(carbon fixation) Then the carbon atoms are reduced to carbs by the addition of electrons. This requires power from NADPH and ATP chemical energy. Both of those are can only do so by the light reactions. Then in the light independent reaction, the stroma enzymes fix the CO2 with the addition of NADP+ and ADP with the end result being sugar. I believe that is correct. I will look it up to make sure though..
