Use implicit differentiation to find the second derivative x^2+2y^3=4

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

Did you find the first derivative yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i have i got yprime=-2x/6y

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

Yep, so just take the derivative again and then whenever you see dy/dx just substitute back in with -2x/6y.

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

Whoops wait, you forgot to square the 6y..it should be dy/dx = -2x/6y^2
