okay:move the y's to one side and on the other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you get y-y^7=5x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you derive you replace y with dy/dx, and derive everything else regularly, so, dy/dx-10x=7y^6dy/dx solve for dy/dx -10x=-dy/dx+7y^6dy/dx -10x/(-1+7y^6)=dy/dx hope that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then dy/dx the entire equation:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 5x^2 becomes 10x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the y becomes just y' and y^7 becomes 7y^6y'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then pull out a y' . so you have y'(7y^6-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldnt the y' become dy/dx?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then just move that whole parenthesis to the other side and you have your answer:)
