does anyone know how to reference a lecture?
For MLA, the citation style goes: Teacher's name, "Class/Guest Lecture", lecture/course title, school name, city, and state, and the date the lecture was given, in day/month/year format.
When citing online lecture notes, be sure to provide the file format in brackets after the lecture title (e.g. PowerPoint slides, Word document). Hallam, A. Duality in consumer theory [PDF document]. Retrieved from Lecture Notes Online Web site: http://www.econ.iastate.edu/classes/econ501/Hallam/ index.html Roberts, K. F. (1998). Federal regulations of chemicals in the environment [PowerPoint slides]. Retrieved from http://siri.uvm.edu/ppt/40hrenv/index.html
My examples are APA format.
I sould also mention that in APA if the lecture your are referencing is not in printed form (i.e. classroom lecture) I believe you use a personal communication citation with no reference page entry.
Thank you both! :D Have a ROCKIN' day!
depends on what class it is, cause i am an education major and I use APA, but the most common one is MLA. What you can do is use Noodletools. You have to create an account, and it is free. It is a site for sitations. I love this website!
