OpenStudy (lilai3):

Can someone please help...or else I'll have to do it the hard way... >:\ How many different 5-digit zip codes are possible if no digits are repeated?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

9(8)(7)(6)(5)

OpenStudy (chriss):

10*9*8*7*6

OpenStudy (lilai3):

uh... hu's rite?

OpenStudy (chriss):

If the number cannot begin with 0, then it is 9*9*8*7*6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are nine different digits... so...

OpenStudy (chriss):

there are 10 digits including 0

OpenStudy (lilai3):

so is it 10 times 9 times 8 times 7 times 6?

OpenStudy (chriss):

Yes.

OpenStudy (lilai3):

wait.. so is it suppose to be a comboniation instead of a permutation?

OpenStudy (chriss):

It is a permutation because order matters. 12345 is different from 54321

OpenStudy (lilai3):

oh ya.. thank you...:D the answer is 30240, rite?

OpenStudy (chriss):
