Which division of the plant kingdom is made up of plants that have flowers or fruit? A.) Angiosperms B.) Gymnosperms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C.) Nonvascular plants D.) Seedless vascular plants i think it's nonvascular?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's look at the first two possibilities: angiosperms and gymnosperms. Do you know what they are? Can you think of at least one example of an angiosperm and a gymnosperm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can think of fruit and flowers as an example of anigosperms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh... that's probably the answer xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Those are indeed typical for angiosperms, also known as flowering plants. It's the largest group in the plant kingdom, incidentally. Gymnosperms are conifers: they reproduce with cones and have neither flowers nor fruit (you need a flower to get a real fruit). Can you think of an example of a non-vascular plant? And what about a seedless vascular plant?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

moss to non-vascular plants. and ferns to seedless vascular plants

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep! Sounds like you know your stuff :)
