Miguel is making a stained glass window. He cuts a 12 cm square along the diagonal to create two right triangles. Find the perimeter of each triangle to the nearest tenth of a centimeter. I need help not the answer.

|dw:1332954267582:dw| he cuts a square in a diagonal so you get a triangle with sides of equal length (cept for the diagonal which is 12cm long) you can use pythagorean to find the lengths, or because its a square cut diagonally the angle is 45 degrees and use that with any of the trigfunctions, sin cos tan to find the length of those sides. if you find one length then the other length must be the same then you just add the 3 sides to get the perimeter of one triangle the second picture i drew im not sure but i think if you cut a rectangle diagonally and then scale/resize it, as seen in the picutre, the total length of the sides stays the same, im not sure on that though, hope you found some route to explore gl
