When proving that the lim as x approaches -3 of (2x-5) = -1 with the delta epsilon definition, do I just say at the end let delta = epsilon/2 or do I also have to do some retrograde steps to prove that assumption? Show me how if so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the limit does equal -1 as x approaches -3. i think it should be -11?

I wasn't asking for the answer, only that if I should do some steps to prove that \[\delta=\epsilon/2\]

i know... but with something that big, you can pick any pratically any delta...
