Explain: Schrodinger Cat Theory

His theory was to test the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics via common items. To do this he theorized that if we place a cat in a box with a vial of poison and a device which can break the poison container if it senses a change in radiation until we look in the box the cat is both dead and alive at the same time since we have no way of knowing which according to the Copenhagen interpretation. However, this cannot be since it is impossible for the cat to be both dead and alive at the same time. He used this as a paradox and to (on a day to day basis) disprove the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics.
