A cell is somtimes refferd to as a tiny organism that lives inside every living thing. Most times its refferd to as somthing that keeps us alive.

The smallest unit of life. To steal part of the dictionary.com definition, it is "the basic structural unit of all organisms." Are you just looking for a definition, or do you need help understanding what a cell is, what it looks like, or what its functions are?

A cell is the smallest unit of life but, it still have smaller parts like lisosomes, cell wall, etc. depending on which organism you are referring to. It is basically composed of the six basic elements which are dominant in the living organisms like carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorous.

cell is the building block of the organism .it perform all the functions in the organism. it is better understand by this example. it is just like the city .as the city has to made some actions for the security similarly the cell has the cell membrane for its protection it only allows the things which are useful for the cell and does not allow the things which become harmful for the cell or for its organelles .its organelles perform different functions .it also has the minister in the form of nucleus which give order to other organelles. it also has the energy supply system named mitochondria similarly the city also has the electricity supply system. in short it is the complete system to run the life of the organism. and its organelles help to keep its system right

a cell is a basic uniit of life. This implies that it carries out activities carried out by living things like recognition of self from non self, self regulation, self replication, they posses genetic material and the means to use it,they have means of acquiring and using energy etc.
