Can anyone help? What is the formula? I have 6 teaspoons of salt, each teaspoon of salt weighs about 5g and contains 2300 mg of sodium. How to I determine the amount of sodium that has been actually added in grams?

So you have 2.3g of sodium per teaspoon since there are 1000mg in every one gram. So just 6 teaspoons times 2.3g gives you 13.8 total grams.
That is what I have, but do I do anything with 5grams?
Nope all you're looking for is the amount of grams of sodium right? So you should have a pile with a total of 30 grams and you know that 13.8 of those 30 grams are sodium.
