The radicand 2x + 6 = 0 when x = -3. 2x + 6 = 0 2x = -6 x = -3 Any value less than -3 will make the radicand negative which can't happen for a graph in the real number system. Look for a graph that begins at -3 and increases (rises on the plane) as x increases. The graph will cross the y-axis when x = 0. Y = square root of 6 then. I see a graph that looks that way.
