one more question for the night. Okay here goes... Which graph matches the function y = √2x+6

Directrix (directrix):

The radicand 2x + 6 = 0 when x = -3. 2x + 6 = 0 2x = -6 x = -3 Any value less than -3 will make the radicand negative which can't happen for a graph in the real number system. Look for a graph that begins at -3 and increases (rises on the plane) as x increases. The graph will cross the y-axis when x = 0. Y = square root of 6 then. I see a graph that looks that way. See if you do and post the answer here. I'll check.

okay. give me a min.

Directrix (directrix):

okay, take your time. I believe you can choose the correct one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be graph 2 right?

Directrix (directrix):

Yes, it is.

well thank you very much!! I really appreciate the help! And I love the high-five. ;)
