OpenStudy (karatechopper):

ok so u see the signs where it shows where some of the sides are the same length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area is 600. Perimeter is around 108.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please show work :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, again, you cut the shape into a square and triangle. The square: 20x20=400 Triangle: (20x20)/2=200 200+400=600

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the perimeter, 20+20+20+20+20+x I'm pretty sure x would be \[20^{2}+20^{2}=x ^{2}\] 400+400=800 and then \[\sqrt{800}= circa28 \] 28-20=8, because the hypotenuse of the triangle on top would be x(The shortest line)+20 (the line on the bottom)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so where did you get 108?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20+20+20+20+20+x x=8 100+8=108

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay:)
