Equation 1

$$f(s)=.02(s) +600$$
$$g(s)= .01(s) +1000$$

The income will be the same when the two equations equal each other.

$$600+.02(s)=1000+.01(s)$$$$(.02-.01)(s)=400$$$$.01(s)=400$$$$s=40,000$$
