Question

Reading the book how to think like a computer scientist and i need to install gasp to do some of the exercises in there. Do any of these lectures help you do this? I've watched the first 6 lectures and they haven't even mentioned it yet.

The book "How to think like a computer scientist" is to reinforce what's being taught in the video lectures. If I were you, I'd focus on them, otherwise you are asking for things outside of the scope of this group.

If I understand correctly it is a library you can add to python similar to the math library used in one of the assignments.

Yesterday I read that the creator of python works (at least two years ago he did) at Google. Python was created in the 1990s. Google seem to support it.

that wasn't in the first edition
looks to me that GASP was developed for Debian and Ubuntu and that they never got around to OSX or windows distributions
Funny that the 2nd edition of the book uses it when it has a limited distribution
