this one is way horrible:( 38=30-2(x-1). So far I have 38=28x-28. Then I added 28 to both sides to get 66=28x. But dividing each side by 28 gets me an oddball decimal number:( Help? Anyone?

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

Instead of converting to a decimal, leave it as a fraction in reduced form.\[{66 \over 28}={33 \over 14}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, will do. Thank you KG:) appreciate your help here;) Denise

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where did you get the 33/14?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

\[{66 \over 28} = {2 \over 2}\cdot{33 \over 14}={33 \over 14}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you simplified it, sorry:) thank you again:)

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

You are very welcome. :)
