What can you predict about the properties of a compound potassium fluoride compared to the properties of potassium fluoride?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Potassium Flouride --> KF Accourding to your question, they will be the same. But I'm not sure your question's right. Check it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My questions right...that's why I got so confused...I was almost sure they were the same thing too. That's just the question the teacher put on the worksheet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This question makes no sense. e-mail or call your teacher.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, it could mean the comparison between KF and K and F separately? What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you would have a comma or and between the potassium and fluoride

OpenStudy (nottim):

OR the word "and"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, a typographical error perhaps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Still not a very good question though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't really understand the question to begin with...I think she is asking if the properties of potassium fluoride as a compound are different then just potassium fluoride...but I thought potassium fluoride was already a compoundd??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes KF is an ionic compound.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's just an error that can be resolved by asking your teacher.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But thanks for your help anyways!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problemo.
