I am not sure how to do the following: Show if the equation Y=0.3271 cos(5.1191x + 0.01589t) satisfies the wave equation. 2) If this is a moving wave, what is the velocity? 3) it’s wavelength? 4) what is its angular frequency?

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

\[(\zeta ^{2}y/\zeta x ^{2})v=(\zeta ^{2}y/\zeta t ^{2})\] That symbol stands for partial differentiation, and v is the wave speed. \[v=w/k\] Can you do the differentiation?
