Find the indefinite integral of: 15ln(x^2 - x - 4) dx I would like a hint. Not the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The hint was to use integration by parts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what the question stated on its own.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I need another hint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u = ln | | dv = dx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe you need partial fractions or long division after using intregation by parts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I completely avoided partial fraction decomposition by using trig sub instead.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I did was first I used by parts, then on the second term of by parts, I used trig sub.
