If I am given a tangent graph and am asked to find the period, or 'b' in the equation y=tan b(x-c) +d, how would I find it?

The period of the tangent graph WITHOUT any type of shifts or stretches is pi. In the picture, there are 4 periods in the normal period of the tangent function. Therefore the period is pi/4. Look for when the tangent function repeats. One line is the function, then the next line/curve is a repeat in the NEXT period. So there are 4 periods in the interval [0,pi]. Therefore the period is pi/4
