am not asking you to do my home work thank you i dont understand this at all math is a very hard subject for me
Alright, that's ok.
multiply the stuff in the minus sign by negative one.
Combine like terms, make sure to keep track of the negative signs (a negative applied to a negative is the same as a positive).
"– (6x2 – 4x – 5)"=6x^2+4x+5 Combine like terms.
would i combine like term next
The negative distributes to the 6x^2 term as well (it's negative).
whenever you see a minus in front of parenthesis, it means to subtract what in the parenthesis, or, add the negative of everything in the parenthesis. for example (x^2-3x+4)-(2x^2+2x-5) =x^2-3x+4-2x^2-2x+5 =-x^2-5x+9 In fact don't be scared by the variables (the x). Treat it just like you would any number. Let's pretend that x is 5. (5^2-3*5+4)-(2*5^2+2*5-5) how would you simplify it?
sorry am still lost
that didnt really help
some one help
Where are u stuck?
