I have to write an exploratory essay. I'm not feeling creative enough to generate my own...open to suggestions...anything, please and thank you! List from prof. has questions/statements regarding marriage, divorce, etc. but I just keep saying in response, well, it depends on why they got married, duh...soo, any suggestions, really.. I just need help getting started and focused and then I'm good to go.
Exploratory essay... Does that mean you are allowed to create your own topic and simply explore aspects of it?
Eh, I don't see why I coulnd't ultiamtely do that, and I might for a research paper after this.. For now, it's more of just objectively exploring, yes, different aspects of an issue/topic . I just have to have one that has three different viewpoints/arguments.
The sample paper is Home-Schooling Vs. Traditional Forms of Education. It only has to be 2 pages. Very simple and she grades like it's middle school in my opinion, but I'm still just stuck..
That would actually be a decent topic. You could explore the pros and cons of each then provide your ultimate viewpoint.
I'd love to, but I don't think I can since she already gave us a paper saying why people choose them/the benefits etc.
not sure there's another way to write it..
Oh i see it has to be an original topic... Hmm... 1) Should voting age be raised to a higher age? 2) Should be drinking age be changed? 3) Should be drugs / alcohol be banned? 4) Genetic engineering of plants versus their consequences in virus development
Are lawmakers actually consiering doing such things? (banning drugs, changing drinking age) Already did the marijuana topic, so that's out unfortunately. Umm, Those are good topics, but maybe worded too much like an argument.persuasive. And there's something about exigence, like the need for interest, the real issue or soemthing do you know what that is? Is the topic on genetically engineered plants a topic with 3 viewpoints?
oh genetically engineered plants has like a million viewpoints...i recommend that one. You can explore both sides: 1) they are good - better produce, more nutrients, larger 2) they are bad - encourage faster mutation of viruses etc
That is interesting. A pain to research and pull off in 4 hours but doable? What might a third viewpoint be?
Thank you
the third point could be that it is neither helpful nor detrimental
