After World War II, much of Eastern Europe was controlled by Answer the United States. Great Britain. Poland. the Soviet Union.
After world war II? Are you sure? And let's narrow it down. Russia sucked, so it aint them, Poland is unheard of so we know it's not them, we don't have any control over there in europe so it wasn't us, and Britain...Hmmm, I know nothing of britain. Im not sure. Are you sure they're asking of WWII?
I would like to say Britain as they are talking of the East.
yes it says after world war 2
It's actually the Soviet Union. At the end of WW2, the West and the Soviets became the biggest players with the nastiest toys when the Cold War started up. After the Soviets chased the Germans back to Germany and crushed the Third Reich from the East, their armies had a habit of staying in the countries that they "liberated" giving them a lot of leverage in deciding what the local politics were going to be like. Although countries like Poland and Romania appeared independent in name, the Soviets set up puppet regimes that were favorable towards Moscow. Thus, they "controlled" much of Eastern Europe through sheer influence and Communist "comradeship" turning them into satellite nations.
Its the Soviet Union which is Russia.
united states and the soviet union remember they both were against eachother during the cold war.
