What occurs after fertilization in a flowering plant? Answer The ovules grow inside a stamen. The anthers grow inside the stigmas The petals develop around the ovary The seeds develop inside a fruit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know this one

Than why would yuu reply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya, ive been telling you the other 3 answer for the other 3 question and you never gave me medal. I demand medals.

I think the point of OpenStudy is neither to provide answers freely nor to gain medals (which...don't really matter anyways). I think an explanation and justification of your answer would be more helpful to the person asking the question. Anyways, as for your question: You have a contradiction in choices one and two. Stamen = male reproductive structure, and comprises the anthers and filaments. On the other hand, your carpels/pistils are your female reproductive structure, and consist of ovules, stigma, and style. So, eliminate these two right away. Choice three - given what you knwo about the importance of flowers in pollination, wouldn't they have to already be there for pollination (and subsequently, fertilization) to occur? Choice four - the seed is formed after fertilization; likewise, the fruit is formed from the ovule. So, this seems like your best choice.

I think it is number 4. (: And I really agree with kma. We do not answer questions here on OpenStudy for medals. We answer it to help one another in our studies and do whatever we can to provide the answers. (:
