MP cnt be differnt?

hero (hero):

Actually yes it can because Ann was travelling slower than Ben

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u work t out?

hero (hero):

So when they meet, ben's distance, which equals MP will be greater

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DISTANCE TRAVELED BY ANN 3t distance travelled by ben is 7t when they meet 3t +7t=6000 therefore t=600 sec=10 hrs so distance travelled by ann=\[3\times600=1800\] distance travelled by ben is \[7\times600=4200=qm\]

hero (hero):

Let x = no of seconds it takes for Ann and Ben to reach point M Then: 3x = The distance that Ann Travels (PM) 7x = The distance that Ben Travels (MQ) Therefore: 3x + 7x = 6000 is the total combined distance from P to Q Thus: 10x = 6000 x = 6000/10 x = 600 So, it takes 600 seconds for Ann and Ben to pass each other Therefore PM = 1800 MQ = 4200
