A student claims that it does not make any difference if his temperature is 2 degrees above normal Fahrenheit or 2 degrees above normal Celsius because in either case he is only 2 degrees above normal. How do you respond?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

well i would tell him that 1°F ≠ 1°C hence his conclusion is nonsense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so explain the difference by converting both in the right degrees if starting at one like 1 degrees F is -17.22 degrees C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 1 degrees C is 33.8 degrees F.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

\[[°F] = [°C] × 9⁄5 + 32\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay yeah I know the equations to convert them just wasn't sure what it meant my normal temperature. But i think I figured it out thanks
